Personally, I believe that the government have been excellent so far. They've taken appropriate action and communicated well so nothing has been a shock to the system. It's interesting the over 50% of all ventilators used worldwide are made in Ireland. So if everything was locked down, we would have a series stockpile to use as needed (I know that's not how business works, but interesting to see that we can feed ourselves and ventilate ourselves as needed)

IMO if you test positive they will post you out something like chloroquine and Kaletra to take at home.

This is just a guess based on what I’m reading as treatments

Havent a clue who the guy is but facemasks blowing around the street doesn't look good. I dont know if its people coming out with the masks after testing and then f*cking them on the ground or are they from bags

Us Europeans are nowhere near as controllable as the Chinese. We don’t like to obey orders whilst they do whatever their leader says without question. Even our political parties are non stop arguing with the other just to suit their party interests. Whatever ways the Chinese managed to somewhat control/reduce this virus, for us it’s gonna be a much bigger challenge. And we will probably screw it up.

Who in their right mind would throw a face mask on the ground like that? It should be way beyond a littering fine. This has really freaked out local residents and would potentially undermine the location of test facilities.

HSE and Government actually needs to act on this.

If it's people throwing them out car windows, I'd suggest something like CCTV evidence and an enormous fine.

That's not litter. It's creating a public health hazard and worrying the hell out of people for no reason.

Well 12 days ago we were debating whether we should have a parade!
Things are moving really fast.

I don't think they believe it will be over by 29th Mar but I think they hope we will see some light at the end of the tunnel.

A turnaround in Italy and Spain would be a great sign.

The Govt. now need to start pressurizing banks and landlords to freeze mortgages and rents. No mounting up, no accumulated interest or arrears.
just start time again in a few months. We borrowed 100 Billion+ for the bailout - we can cover the cost of this for a few months.
