Whirlpool Oven not heating

    Hi folks

Can someone point me in the right direction? Have a Whirlpool Fxvm6 electric cooker. In the last week the oven is taking an age to heat. Things to note :

There are 2 elements for the grill, both work. But only one comes on when I select the oven setting.
Thermostat works. Clicks on and off
    Fan works.
The oven will get hot eventually.
Rubber gasket for the door seal is iffy. Would this account for so much heat loss?

I'm assuming that both elements should be on when i select the oven, so possibly a faulty selector?

Any help would be greatly appreciated before I get the multimeter out and start testing

There's usually a circular element around the fan check that for continuity.

No element around the fan, have already took off the back plate for a look.

    Thanks for the reply though
