Hi all. My wife and three children booked to go on a holiday to a resort in Costa del Sol in early April. We initially paid 200 euro to secure, then a further deposit recently of 727. In the light of developments we have decided to not travel and explained this to Travel Republic when cancelling both the holiday and transfer. We have a remaining balance of 840 euro plus 150 euro for transfer to resort to pay in 10 days or so.
I am wondering does anyone know if the aforementioned balance will be taken seeing as we have just cancelled. It seems extortionate to have to pay the entire amount for no return.
Just to add, their small print is ambiguous. It's difficult to ascertain whether we would have to pay the full amount. As stated, I have emailed them and await a reply.
Just hoping someone has been or is in the same predicament as us. We have resigned ourselves to the fact that we are not travelling now but having to pay the full amount would add insult to injury.
    Thanks in advance.
