Cafè's are refusing to fill reusable cups now for the same reason which is a shame in a way

What’s the logic behind this? That customer will have still touched the door, maybe the toilet and handed over CASH to pay:)

Deskside with a cold and sinus, ear, and throat infections. Have done no work since last Thursday, but I swapped some teaching this week so I have six consecutive hours of class this afternoon. My lack of preparation means the lectures will consist of showing a series of 20 maps* on slides and saying "isn't this a lovely map" on repeat; the seminars will involve excessive group work and me wandering around the room, occasionally saying things lecturer-y like "well, that's certainly an interesting perspective" and "that's an unusual interpretation of __".

*several brazenly sourced from the interesting maps thread, so many thanks to the contributors there for helping me prepare...

I hear ya bolgbui, I'm a lecturer myself.

I've done those things you mentioned in your post many times before in order to cover my ass due to a lack of proper preparation for classes and seminars lol

I have a deep passion for all things cartographical.

I said the exact same to girls in work canteen. They agree it is a daft policy, but have to adhere to it
