I think we'd need a lot of luck, perhaps a miracle and maybe a time machine for Arsenal to win away at City

Quick word for James Milner, what a pro. What a feckin' pro. He's invaluable to have around the place.

Man City to lose to Man Utd tomorrow
Man City to lose to Arsenal on Wednesday
Man City to beat Burnley next Saturday
Liverpool to beat Everton the following Monday.

    Liverpool are Champions.

Not beyond the realms of possibility is it?

Arsenal to beat City at the Etihad? You would get long odds on that from the bookies. No chance it will happen.

It could happen, but City have won the last 6 in a row in this fixture, scored 17, conceded 2! So long odds indeed!

Of the City games, I can only see Burnley taking a point off them. Very hard to break them down. Utd are now coming out for a fight with Bruno doing his magic and that will play into City hands. City to win that. Arsenal are hopeless, City to win that one easy.

As for Everton, you never know how that will turn out. Unpredictable and has nothing to do with form.

It's the game of the top two tactical fouling teams in the league so expect a real stop start game.

Arsenal actually jumped ahead of City as the biggest tactical foulers since Arteta became manager so he really did learn from Pep.

On tactical fouls Liverpool are bottom of the league table.

On tactical fouls Liverpool are bottom of the league table.

80% of those are probably by Milner.

Any links to this? Or is this all complete speculation on your part?

Arsenal are bang average. City should beat them if they are up for it. CL will be their focus though.

Arsenal can't even master that by the looks of it.

If they have the ref from our game today it will be an odd game. Two teams fouling each other and no free kicks given!

Cheers, I knew Man City were known for it since Guardiola became manager. Didn’t know that Artetas influence in it would have been that instant.

Liverpool have also been at the bottom, or towards the bottom, of the "fouls table" and "cards table" all season.

Suarez was a revolutionary & years ahead of his time.

The Premier League are only banning pre-match handshakes now, Suarez started this years ago.

We can mathematically win the league before our next fixture.

I mean, City aren't losing 3 in a row but there is a scenario where it's a week away and I'm suddenly all giddy

Wilson today, he ain't giving up on the dream anyway fair play to him.

Pretty ballsy of him to be wearing a LFC tracksuit at the game against the club who pays his wages :D Believe he is getting some abuse online from Bournemouth fans over it

I laughed really hard at this and it was either really funny or I've had too much wine. I'll review tomorrow.

the best thing about it is even Hendo wasn't wearing a Liverpool jacket as you'll see below, maybe Hendo gave Wilson his jacket to keep him warm, what a captain we have! :):D

a here I just saw the shove on Gomez for the first goal, are they trying to make it interesting? was VAR not plugged in?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,423 ✭✭✭.G.

Hendo always wears that one, probably some deal he has. Thought it was pretty weird from Wilson but genuinely thought from the interviews beforehand he hadn't brought a warm coat so had to wear one of ours! :D

Was it not just the jacket? Because it was cold?

I'm really worried about your liver, this a theme of your posts recently, I want you to see us make it over the line, you deserve it as much as any of us. Maybe ease off a bit then we'll all head into an alcohol induced coma together once we win it? :D

I'm old too, fortunately we have it won or so people have been telling me since November

Depends on what the ref said to him. If he said, “I saw the push, but it was ok by me”, then not much VAR can do. Just bad reffing.
This goes to a discussion on the General Thread. If the ref felt it was ok, then even if he himself reviews it, he could stick with that decision. You can’t do much with a bad ref.
