Why is it a mish mash? Surely pick the 100 game mark and the goals each has scored at that point?

Or pick 70 goals and the amount of games is took to get there.

That's the total league games they've all played for us isn't it?

Two good finishes made look easy:

Does this save mean Milner has now officially played in every position?

Gave it his all at til the very end too:

    Can't get over this effort:

    These first touches from Trent:

    This pass from him too:

VVD defending all over the park:

It really doesn't get much more obvious than this:

Even now I find myself half-expecting Gerrard to show up and meet this ball on the edge of the box when situations like this arise:

Well neither of the other two got to 70 for Liverpool

That's class from Salah but I still think that 2013 Suarez and 2008 Torres we're better strikers.

Ah. Genuinely thought Suarez had played (and scored) more than that tbh.

Salah doesn't even play as a striker and has a better record than both of them.

Also, if you're only looking at individual years you have to look at Salah 17/18

They were better strikers but Salah is a right winger which makes his numbers that much more impressive.

Also, I cringed a bit when I saw Klopp taunting the linesman, no need for that.

    It was totally necessary.

    And also amusing.

Have a feeling Bobby will score on Wednesday. Going to stick a few pound on it. odds should be decent considering his run.

Milner has to start ahead of Fabinho midweek watching Fabinho lately has been very painful

One of the Dutchmen to win it for us. Bobby's hasn't scored at Anfield since being baptised a Catholic by Alisson in his own swimming pool. In order to ensure a concerted and organised fatwah on opposing defences, I propose Firmino converts to Islam immediately.

Why? Blame the ref or VAR official, nothing to do with the lino.

My take on all of this is frankly **** the CL, **** the FA Cup (since ****ed off) there is one thing this team needs to do this year and is win the league.

If they were to somehow crawl over the finish line with a point to spare.. so be it.. :)

Yeah I'd agree about Fabinho lately. In fact, watching him since his return from injury, he hasn't looked himself at all since he came back. He was playing wonderful football before the injury but hasn't been at the races since.
He also took a long time to hit his best when we signed him, I think he's just that type of player who takes time to get up to speed.
I still think Klopp will start him midweek personally but you're right about him not playing well recently.

I remember Fabinho came back for about 20 mins after his injury and people were waxing lyrical about how much better we were with him back, even though I thought he was poor, seems to be accepted now that he's not up to speed at all.

Some of the posters here are unreal.

We won today but it's not good enough. We got 3 points. That's all that mattered and they they get no more or less points for winning nervously or comfortably.

Also, they have dropped 5 points out of possible 87 and had gone over a year unbeaten in the league.

Despite the gloom they have lost one one league game and are now closing in on the first league title in 30 years.
Do we not realise how big that is and how much fans have wanted it? Maybe it's got to the player's a little too.

They also won a European cup inbetween after a monumental comeback against Barcelona.

Also last few games have been without Henderson, a returning from injury Fabinho and an out of sorts Firmino.

It's normal to have wobbles, they have been fantastic for over a year and are going to deliver the title we've all dreamed of and people still believe they could throw it away (they won't) or they're not playing well enough. Salah should be sold, VVD is carrying an injury, Adrian is a calamity waiting to happen, Klopp has no idea about subs.

I think people should stop, realise what they have achieved and praise this team and enjoy it as seasons like this may never come along again.

Also, football is all about form and motivation and I don't see any reason for them not to beat Atletico on Wednesday.

I kinda don't wanna watch the match on weds ,simply because I know how Madrid will play, and it will be disgusting to watch.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,927 ✭✭✭✭rob316

Fairly poor but we won and there was a few decent performances there so I don't really care. Get past Wednesday now and we should be back in our stride for the run in.

I'm looking forward to the match on Wednesday. All the pressure I'm under is because I want to win the league so badly. I think that's the pressure the players and the management are under too tbh.

I see no reason why we cant overturn Atleti on Wednesday. In a lot of ways the pressure will be lifted and we will have another stunning Anfield night. FWIW, I felt we played really well in Madrid and were very unlucky not to catch a break.
