Aimed at the men here do you like perfume particularly, sexy and alluring verses its overpowering and going to make you sneeze?

I am not mad on aftershaves unless they are light and fresh, think a lot are overpowering.

I don't like it personally. I don't mind the smell of her body.

I don't wear aftershave because i am naturally sweaty.

I love nice aftershave on a man.

Sorry, I know you said men only!

CMT has a certain perfume, I don't know the name but I love it. Puts me in the mood it does ;)

Hate it. Allergic so can cause a migraine. It is amazingly intrusive. Some people wear way too much and you can tell where they have been for a good half an hour afterwards.

I love most perfume on women. Smelling good is a major turn-on.

However there’s a type of woman of a certain look and age who decide to start wearing those completely overbearing floral perfumes. The ones that linger in the air. Eau de Menopause. The Horseshoe Bar in Dublin is a very good spot to inhale these overpowering perfumes - if that’s your thing.

Never something I paid much attention to, to be honest.

Love the smell of it, some brands in particular will immediately catch my attention walking down the street.

Perfume, yes. But age appropriate and time of day appropriate...and above all don't overdo it.

Hate it personally. You kiss her neck and next minute you're like a cat coughing up a hair ball.

Got on the luas one day and someones perfume was so strong I could barely breath.

I don't mind. I never really notice one way or the other

I rarely like women's perfumes. Most are cheap and nasty. Some are simple and lovely. Truth is that nice smells cost money. The synthetic stuff is cheap and smells cheap.

Much better to go with an identifiable smell like lemon, lavender or jasmine than the synthetic nasty smells by YSL or Channel.

If you walk down the street and smell perfume, then it's too strong and probably nasty. You should really be fairly intimate with someone before you smell their perfume.

Perfume is formulated to a woman's sense of smell. Aftershave is formulated to a man's.

I love the smell of perfume i will smell my wrist during the day when i wear it. I find it calming.

I don't like the smell of aftershave though. But men generally do.

The female and male olfactory system like different things.

Love a nice smell on a man.

Most women's perfumes give me a headache but certain light fresh ones in a small quantity feels lovely. Cool Water mostly.

As nice as a perfume might be if you wear too much it's repulsive. Same goes for aftershave. Less is more.

Some scents are incredibly evocative for me.
    Dune and Samsara in particular.
But if ya want to get my engine revving a dab of a mid 90's Avon White musk ;)

The joys of being an early 90's horny teenager with a GF who liked a dab and having her neck nibbled :D

A tip for the younger gentlemen

Brut and a dash of blue stratos

    Ladies love it

Always wear Dior brand perfume, and like an aftershave smell on a man.

Exclamation was all the rage for the 90s teenager. Found a bottle clearing out the attic the other day. Vile smell bought back many memories.

I like it when men wear female deoderant and perfume.

I love it, it is one thing that can really improve my opinion of people if they smell really good. Especially for men,a good cologne can make me way more attracted to a guy. But a lot of women overdo it with extremely sweet smelling varieties, there are some gorgeous smelling female perfumes though that can be a bit more subtle

    I dunno.

Never been but Ive heard women refer to that Bar as The Horse**** Bar because the men there are full of it.

They’re scents I’d normally associate with laundry detergents and household cleaning products or air fresheners! Not that they don’t smell nice, but they have their place (preferably not on a woman :D).

Varies a ridiculous amount for me really, I know most of the more expensive scents by smell, and I wouldn’t have the greatest olfactory senses in the world either. It’s so individual too, like Tom Ford masculine fragrances worn by a woman can be -

And then on other women, it just doesn’t evoke the same attention at all!

Personally, as much as it gets a bad rap on here, I’ve never had any complaints yet about Lynx Africa, quite the opposite - I’m often told I smell good. I dunno, I’ve never had reason to change I guess :o

Too much lemon and could smell like a floor cleaner.

Chanel No. 5 is a classic that has stood the test of time. All that Marilyn wore in bed.

For me, as a male I tend to wear Chanel Egoiste, Tom Forde black orchid(a recent discovery) Issey Miyake pour Homme and the Intense, or creed Aventus.

Have a few others that don't get any skin time anymore, but lately black orchid is really catching my nose and the Mrs isn't complaining like ;)

Honourable mention the JPG le male, but I think I'm too old for it now :pac:
