    so, was doing my weekly shop in lidl and aldi tonight. lidl had no long grain white rice, porridge oats or real butter left. also low on minced beef and tinned dog and cat food.
    aldi was almost stripped of all fresh bread, no porridge oats, low on corn flakes, no minced beef and had had a run on bleach and cleaning products. also low on packs of tinned dog and cat food.
    no hand gels to be found anywhere.

    dunno why people are panicking about stocking up on beef products. that's one item that ireland will definitely not run out of!

    Did my shop today in Lidl shelfs stacked up no problems with supply.

    I was back in work today after 4 days off and it was lovely not having time to be reading this thread, needed a day away from it. For perspective, nothing has changed in Ireland since I last read it yesterday

    He's a disgrace, the bureaucracy of 'follow the HSE's advice, which is entirely based on the WHO's inadequate advice' is craven. The virus is spiralling into failed states all around the world, time to get real.

    Between Bush fires in Oz, locusts in Africa and the spread of a vicious virus (any idiot who laughs off a 2% mortality rate is just that, an idiot) there is kind of a surreal feeling about this 2020 and that we are in real bother.

    Going to be a testing few months ahead compounded by the economic backlash.

    He is a Professor of Immunology and you are some random fear monger on the internet. I know who I place more faith in.

    First presumptive positive case in Chile.
    Seriously this is getting weird, about 20 different countries have reported first case in the last 3 days, and usually it's just the one. Before that it was mostly just clusters forming for weeks prior. Why would so many have their first all at such a similar period ?

    I'm sure the HSE will mirror the Chinese government's response and deliver three square meals a day in the back window to you when you are put in quarantine
