South Korean cases of cv seem to be almost doubling every two days.

If that continues they'll be at China's level in about 10 days, with Italy perhaps not far behind.

I don't know anyone who is saying the covid19 is the most dangerous virus that exists. The polarising of points in this discussion just to get the message across is poorly done.

Unfortunately the first fact in that poster is not a fact at all

The mood music on this thread already seems to have changed somewhat since yesterday. The panic and gloom is still there but slightly diminished. Having big bad Covid19 take a trip from Dublin to Belfast yesterday seems to have brought some kind of acceptance. Or maybe people are just exhausted at being scared.

    It's looking like that.

The WHO have been praising China for it's efforts in tackling this, but they have literally put entire cities under forced lockdown. I'm not sure other countries can do this considering the authoritarian nature of the Chinese Government in the first place.

Common flu have only 0.05% death.

To compare the death toll from flu virus after it has circulated around the world, i.e. the final death toll VERSUS a new virus still breaking out is absurd.
    Really disgraceful flyer that.

I think it’s time to manufacture homemade hand sanitizer and set up an eBay shop.

Who’s got the recipe? I was only assigned food in the other thread.

Two thirds isopropyl alcohol and one third aloe Vera gel in a spray bottle. You can get iso in a pharmacy or in bulk on adverts.

    https://www.adverts.ie/other-electronics/isopropyl-99-9-1l-rubbing-alcohol-ipa-lab-grade/16674863

Aloe is half price in Holland and Barrett.

Boots have 100ml spray bottles for €2

The comparison of the death total of Covid-19, which was confined to a province in China for the first month of its existence, until the past two weeks, with influenza is particularly insulting.

The micro impact for someone in their 30s getting the virus is minimal. The micro impact on the elderly and immune-supressed will be traumatic. The macro impact on health services, supply chains, improvished urban populations and unstable regions is potentially catastrophic.

COVID-19 - currently stands 23 times more deadly than the common flu. This could either increase or decrease as time passes.
That Adrian Dunne flyer should be withdrawn, it's hugely misleading.
