Cycled on Monday but I've driven in every other day. With the non existent traffic this week and the crap weather, its just too easy to wimp out.

Hasn't been too bad this week down here in the SE (though far from sunny) . Wednesday was the worst, but it's the day I have to drive as I need to collect the young lad anyway (usually this sees mild and sunny Wednesdays). Thought about wimping this morning when it was pelting rain around 6:45, but it had eased off by 7:30 when I was leaving. Just as well as it turned into a slog into a lively headwind which at the moment is still shaping up to be a nice tailwind on the way home

Cycled the non-electric bike in this morning. Think i'm going to regret the decision this evening. There was some shower of hailstones at lunch time.

I've been cycling half way and then getting on the Dart with the bike for the other half. Have to say I was glad to see the Dart arrive this evening - it was cold and windy

I am so over this wind. I don't mind rain, snow, hail, but wind makes it so grim. Every day heading into a block headwind the whole hour into work. And next week looks shyte too.
    Ugh!

I get a solid cross tail home. The wind seems to change slightly about 3pm most days to deny me that sweet sweet tailwind. That makes up a significant amount of my wind hate. It'd almost make me not want to ride a fixie into it every morning.
    Almost. :pac:

Oh god please let it end.

Another commute into a block headwind today. This has to count as training right? Because I"m too shattered to do anything else.

I'm so jealous I have the opposite some tail wind in the am but a mother of a head wind on the way home, had to cycle hard down a hill yesterday to maintain 20kph!!

Did wimp this morning as was looking at crosswinds gusting at 40-50kmph in both directions. Yeah. Wind. Enough already

Ah c’mon, this seems endless. Friday wasn’t meant to be *too* bad but it was like cycling through jelly. A usual 35 minute commute took 48 minutes.

Christ, when was the last time we had such a long bad run?

On the plus side, I found my long lost Seal Skinz skull cap in the attic today, bring the cold on.

Last week was particularly rough on the bike, Tues morning probably the worst as was freezing along with lashing rain and strong winds. Soaked through again on Thurs morning and Fri evening and just damp the other days with the accompanied gales.

Nov 2019 was relentless though with the rain, pretty much soaked on each leg of the journey for weeks. Never want to see the beating of that.

Its the head wind both ways, I get tiny stretches around Cabinteely where it isn't a headwind but the rest of the time, it is a headwind both ways.

Put the bins out there and it's ****ing snowing now

February has been terrible, I'm putting it down to it being a leap year.

Add me to the list for tomorrow, I'm going to work from home even it doesn't stick. My youngest will be happy at least as she'll be with me all day. She just loves to talk to my boss when she calls, and the felling is mutual Always says hello Enfilade can you put the boss on for me. I think she just likes to find an excuse and call to get cheered up by the 21 month old who's a real pro at chatting on a phone now :D

I finally gave the bike a (very overdue) clean this evening, so it’s not just the cold that might make me work from home in the morning. If there’s even a hint of drizzle I’ll be working from home.

Wimped out this morning was all geared up ready to go but what looked like slush was frozen solid and the roads like glass around my estate. Wasn't too bad after a while but glad I wimped out!

Same for me. Frozen slush with cars skidding everywhere. It looked fairly localised in spots. For once public transport wasn't too slow.
