Boardsies Decide... The Best Sci Fi Movie... EVER

    Whilst you're all diligently voting on the best Song Ever, I'm going to divert course from music for a while and take you all back to the movies.

    How it works....


    I want you all to nominate 5 of your favourite Sci Fi movies via PM to me.

    I will collate them and run them off in a knockout tournament to determine which Sci Fi movie Boardsies deem to be the best ever.

    There's no closing date as of yet, I will run the tournament in the coming weeks likely in the evening time.

    So are you a Star Wars or Star Trek fan?

    Alien or Aliens?

    How about The Matrix?

    Is Love Actually really a Sci Fi movie?

    Let's find out.

    Note: I will not be removing any movie from the contest on genre grounds - that is up for you, the voters to decide.

    Star Wars is not Sci-Fi, at best its Space Fantasy, but more importantly its basic and just not a very good film franchise... So best just to leave it out of this...

    In all seriousness Best Shark Movie (or even Best Over The Top Animal Attack Movie) would be a bit of craic.

    Nope. Whether you like the films or not, Star Wars is not Sci-Fi, because Sci-Fi needs two things Science and Fiction. Star Wars has Fiction, but there is zero Science involved anywhere in there. Its simply Fantasy set in space. Its no more Sci-Fi than Harry Potter or Twilight are.

    Down with this sort of thing.

    Had to do plenty of googling as Sci Fi is definitely not my genre but did come up with 5 nominations. Oddly though a much bigger fan of Sci Fi shows...plain weird.

    In and yes one of them is not your routine Sci Fi but if Die Hard is Xmas then a film about a dystopian future made in 1971 is certainly Sci Fi
