Sounds like you can't afford to have multiple houses, so why are you doing it ?

If Joyce wasn't so condescending she might have a point

    No I agree.

    It is simple economics.

    Supply and demand.

Thought I was alone in my thinking! It all seems mad to me.

As for the callers, they all sound crazy today.

    Ruth has got very shouty

She doesn't like the term 'greedy landlord'.
    I wonder why.

If she, as she claims, is only covering her mortgage, then she's immediately contradicting herself by saying she needs the income for her family home and living costs.

    Joyce is full of crap

    Duffy hates landlords

Sounds like Joe is siding with Ruth, using phrases like "Its a HAP apartment so is high standard".

No HAP apartment I've seen could be classed as high standard.

    This whole show is irrelevant.

    Entitled.... Bingo

She's a horrible woman. Treating everyone like they are all wrong.

Why is Joe supporting her. And bringing on someone to support her.

    He's a rubbish interviewer.

As long as nobody will acknowledge the effect that immigration has had on housing, then there is no point in having the debate. And nobody in the mainstream will have that discussion.

    Is she in negative equity?

    She's in negative credibility.

I don’t understand why people are complaining about landlords who are providing accommodation for tenants who should be housed by the local authority. It’s not the landlords fault that the state has abdicated its responsibility!

Anudder voice added will get this sorted.

Its a bit like the people who complain when hotels put up their prices when there is a big match or a concert of something on in the area.

Joe it was only €120 for the room on the first Tuesday in November but now they are charging us €350 for the night of the Ireland-Brazil match in Lansdown Road. Its a disgrace.
