    Guys,

My CD/DVD drive recently got wrecked after the msblast.exe patch/repair on my laptop went nuts.

I just noticed that after I sent it for servce that there is a different make device in there, was TEAC now QSI CDRW/DVD-241.

Problem is that I am having problems trying to copy to a 700mb CD-R, (verbatim) It is saying that I do not have enough disk space on the CD, but I am copying <700mb and in the past with the TEAC I have successfully copied the same data to the same disks with no probs ?

    Any ideas, appreciated.

Can you set overburn on your burning software?

Try that, and if it doesn't work, try reinstalling the drive.

Currently using MSExplorer to copy the data files.
When I got back the laptop, CD-Record would not recognise the new QSI dirve, it's asking for an update from it's webpage.

I can't reinstall the driver, XP presumes it has all the drivers in the world !! That was my original problem with the TEAC, I couldn't re-install a driver to get it going.

    Thanks for the reply.

Any sugesstion regaring a decent burning software package ?
