Recommendation for heater blower fan repair

    Does anyone know if it is possible to get a heater blower fan repaired? It looks like the bearings are gone. It's from a 1970 Mercedes W114. A search of the various breakers around the place suggests that anything they have is in even worse condition. They're no longer available new. At this stage, repair might be the best option. The dash is out at the moment, so it's a good time to get this fixed. I'd appreciate any ideas.

    I would imagine that an electrical tool repair guy would be the best bet.
    As he would be dealing with the small machine bearings used in powertools ect.

    Alternator repair would tend to use larger sturdier bearing sizes.


    If its only bearings, then you could dismantle it yourself, size the bearings, and fit new ones.

    Looks like the fan is totally shot. The fan blades are so brittle they're falling apart.
    I tried Niemoeller previously alright, but the fans are definitely no longer available. I'll check out MrCostigan's links above, thanks.
    The part number is 115 835 0107, but I think -0207 and -0407 will also work.

    A1158350207 replaced all those part numbers, but looks like it's been unavailable for quite some time now.

    Your best bet is to repair it, or find a good spare on the likes of eBay, or eBay Kleinanzeigen. You could, at least in theory, have the fan 3D printed... Provided the electrical side can be refurbished.
