Investigation cone is a fantastic description for a dog's nose and I am stealing that phrase and claiming I came up with it.

Woo hoo. I'd say you are a moddle for a coddle, as us Dubs used to say.

I must be stupid, when it said investigation cone, I thought the poor dog was at the vet and had one of those cones on his head.

OK, I'm stranded atm with the hoover and duster and I've even got the mop out.
Mrs got up and said will we go shopping now and clean up later or vice versa.
I said vice versa, and we will go for lunch when we go shopping.
She then got a phone call from work and had to go in for a while, so I'm stuck withe the cleaning and hoping she will soon be back.
I'm having a tea and toast break atm. Lyons I'm afraid.

Haha! I'm a Dub and I've never heard that phrase, what does this it mean? I do love coddle though, I was practically raised on it.

I remember my Granny saying it to the little lads making their Communion. He looks like a little 'model.'

    Means you look great!

Nothing better than strutting in new threads :D

My other favourite is speed sticks for legs.

Kitchenside drying my hair by the fire. Got a bit wet out there but at least it is really mild. I'm going nowhere yet as I needto be in a very up mood for going out. Listening to "500 miles" cos it's a sweet old song.

A bit of retail therapy can be a real mood lifter...alas according to my OH I should hand my gay man membership card back as I have “lamentable” dress sense and zero sense of colour co-ordination! (his very words):D:pac:

When it comes to clothes shopping (and any kind of shopping in general, excluding books where I could spend all day in a good bookstore) I am very much a heterosexual male - I have a very good idea of what I need/want, look at maybe two or at most three shops, and go in, get it and then get out. :D I loathe window shopping and browsing with a passion.

Now, couchside in my OH’s place looking at the lashing rain and the howling wind outside. A real day to be indoors. :)

couchside with a lemsip, shocking weather outside, does it ever stop:(
hope everyone has a good day:)

Armchair-side having tea and trying to decide if I want to put on makeup before I go to work later

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,856 ✭✭✭✭smurfjed

No.....I didn't think I would have to admit this so early in play and (starts to sweat) maybe I will be barred/put on ignore but (starts to hyper-ventilate) I don't actually really drink tea or coffee.

I can understand not drinking tea..... but not drinking coffee ?????

Got told this morning that my chariot wasn’t ready, so got a day of wandering around this lovely city bar-hopping. It is so dog friendly, every bar or shop or even the boat that we used had people with dogs sitting in there, they certainly change the atmosphere.

    But no cats seen !

Has anyone used CBD oil on dogs for shoulder / hip issues due to age?

Sorry, going to hotel and in a pub, just to bring this back on topic?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,633 ✭✭✭✭Widdershins

Ive used comfrey oil topically on the dog here. Gives good relief. No experience of cbd for dogs.

    Um...kitchenside...no change there then.

Tried it with my older Lab who had arthritis and Hip dysplasia .And it just didn't give her the comfort to function. So went back to standard pain killers and anti-inflammatory from the vet.

Eventually did decide to put makeup on, just in case anyone was wondering :pac:

After dinner-side and now getting ready to head out to work.

Friend in US did, he thought it helped but that's a bit anecdotal and unquantative? Nothing dramatic in any case. He also gave his (golden retriever) LOTS of fish oil too. My sister's chocolate lab had similar hip issues, but she was14. She gave her fish oil too and kelp/dried seaweed - pain didn't seem as bad.
I think impact was more on their coats - glossiest you've ever seen, both of em.

    Hope Mutt is ok?

As soon as my ginormous pizza arrives it's lights down and movie night. Not sure what yet...

Still calm enough here, though I think it might be starting to pick up a bit now. Only a little jealous that you’re in your pjs now.

    Thanks both :)

Quattro formaggi with extra fresh chill and sliced green onion / scallion.

Hmmm I loved the first Indiana Jones, then kind of gave up on them gradually. Half thinking of an oldie, like Big Blue or Cinema Paradiso...

Indeed, I do love Humphrey :) Good call on Maltese Falcon... haven't seen that in forever. And maybe my annual Bullitt viewing after (because who doesn't love Steve) and as we're in San Francisco already :pac:
