No we need back to back shows from the same station all day long answering the same question.

Or we could you know try to get a government off the ground quick.

There's very little time supposedly leo was saying last week
Unlikely to be anything quick about this phase.

I'd love to see all the FG policies that brought all this.

Well there’s a policy that last year delivered more social housing than had been built in the previous 32 years. Slainte care has cross party support and needs to be implemented.

The place is in good health. Now time for SF to bring in free childcare, increase the dole by 25 quid, build more social housing, get rid of the LPT, end people on trolleys, and being the pension age back to 65 in contravention of what every other country in Europe is doing.

    Best of luck folks.

People attempting to commit suicide left on a trolly so long.

    10k+ homeless.

Women died of cervical cancer from misread screenings in 2010.

Who was in government then and who brought in the screening and picked the labs?

Wow, you could open a salt mine in this thread. Not much constructive debate going on at all.

The onus is on the 3 main parties to work on a solution. between them they represent the majority of the electorate.

I voted SDs by the way

Our current issues are complex, and caused by long term failures from previous governments, they will more than likely continue for many governments due to their complex nature, each new government adding more complexity to these issues, and introducing their own failures to address these issues, of course there will also be success stories along the way, as was with previous governments

Wow, I never heard those words coming out of Mary Lous mouth referring to FG. Good for the goose an all that...

Just get on with it ML, let’s see what you got.

You and your fellow travelers have been ‘talking the talk ‘ for long enough.

    Now ‘walk the walk’’

Take control of the agenda, and act like a leader.

Not the time to go underground.

I think most people have heard enough about a lad in a pub,

    People are on trollys

    Homeless.

    Riding silently beside their parents.

    We need to move on.

you forgot starving kids in Africa.

SF don't have monopoly on solutions for those issues and they don't have a mandate to do it alone. If they are behaving in way that will push away any prospective partners they are just making the problem worse.

We’ve a finite budget in this country and as a society we’ve tended to push our budget towards social welfare and public sector pay over infrastructure projects.

People want change and now it’s up to SF to go into government and deliver that change for the people who voted for them. FG’s message of economic growth, financial prudence, and incremental improvements in services via long term planning didn’t resonate with the electorate, and they’ve no mandate. So I’d agree with you there. Time for them to go into opposition.

What would be truly disappointing for the people who voted for SF in enormous numbers would be to see SF running scared from trying to go into government, or shying away from their platform of change. Big promises, lads. Time to go implement em.

The Irish electorate must be the biggest babies in Europe.

The nurses want more money - give it to them.
The teachers want more money - give it to them.
The pensioners want more money - give it to them
the Dolers want more money - give it to them.

Then they turn around and complain because taxes are too high and the infrastructure is crap.

    FF, SF and the Greens.

That works, the people voted for change, and the country needs stability. PP have it at 2/1. I get the feeling SF supporters are getting worried about the prospect of government. Hurlers on the ditch.

Smart man would take that bet John, did you ever throw up your screenshot of cashing out your other big win btw?

It’s also maths, not math. It’s a deeply annoying Americanism that has creeped in around here recently.

    Ok......

Look there's lots of issues because of successive governments who looked after the banks, vulture funds, private insurance companies etc. Even if SF get into government it will take many years to clean up the mess left behind.

    Kinda see the reason why;
    Highest mortgages.
    Highest Insurance.
    Highest childcare costs.
    Highest rents.

What I'm hearing is no FG polices that directly impacted the current state of the economy.

ML seems to be the only leader currently doing anything about forming a government.

Politicans and political parties have limited abilities and power to make changes at times, at times, other forces, such as plutocratic interests have far more power than these political elements, I. E. Sometimes it actually doesn't really matter who's in power, this alternative interests are virtually always in power, no matter what

SF and FG supporters voted for both parties knowing FG wouldn't go into power with SF

Sounds a bit like Sinn Fein and their abstention stance.

It wouldn't take but 2mins of searching to find fg acolytes whinging about that though.

No more will the Brexit threads be clogged up by posters wondering why the shinners just don't take the oath to the queen and get into Westminster, despite their voters voting for them "knowing SF wouldn't take their Westminster seats".

Do some of you lads ever think before you post?:D

That would actually be very funny. Paul Murphy over the department with responsibility for Irish Water, Dessie Ellis as minister for justice going up to the Park to meet Drew Harris about matters of state security, Pearse Doherty magicking infinite money out of everywhere to pay for everything.

That's fine and I don't disagree, but I assume you afford that same patience to Fine Gael or Fianna Fail?
