Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. Salah kid was born yesterday yeh? I see no reason why he wouldn't be playing next week

Today or tomorrow. I really dont think it will be next weekend anyway. Both teams are supposed to have a break and Id say that will be upheld. Both would then have to agree to midweek but that mightnt suit both teams.

With any luck they might have already discussed a contingency in the last day or so once it was clear it could cause issues. After yesteddays rugby don't think anyone wanted to watch more sport on those conditions!

I think she delivered already. Thank f**k I VCed Salah instead of KDB. But I'm still raging as I WCed partly to get Aguero in this week.

I wildcarded last night to catch a few price rises on 2 players I wanted
I was wildcarding city players out now

In deep doo doo if this is not played this gw
A lot of good prizes too :(

I haven’t given up hope it remains in this gameweek
The whole dynamic will have changed obviously and players could get injured in mean time but at least it would mean I could still sell city players on WC as planned rather than being monumentally punished again later in season

    2 didn’t play!

Williams & Hayden on the bench.

    In a mess!!!

Triple City & Captain Aguero!! Worst GW ever.

    Bloody Disaster

They will reschedule for next week probably Saturday at 3pm. But it still means v bad news for city players owners as definitely going be rotation with Madrid coming up. Could be a 15 min cameo for ageuro.

Meticulously planned wildcard gone to shït already. Gotta love fpl.

I didn't see any articles or official statement but there was some speculation in FFScout chat yesterday about this and confidence that they'd be played next weekend. Fingers crossed for you km79.

I've broken the 1500pts barrier and OR 17k
DCL and Holgate give me a 6k bump, Stephens will autosub for Webster.

As an Aguero captain owner this week, I'm worried. Didn't realise that this being postponed mean't there was a possibility of City blanking this GW given it's over the winter break? Would rather they didn't play at all and have VC Salah do the business rather than play before Madrid with rotation.

When can we start dreaming about a City triple gameweek free hit team

    Aguero (C), Jimi (VC)

    Need a big game

VC or lack of will be crucial this week

I doubt very much it will be played this GW, these players are on their winter break now.

PL want players/clubs to honour this, they even requested that no friendly games be played.

They can't go back on their own request just because it suits them.

May not even be able to schedule it for this GW anyway as players would have booked holidays with their families.

I agree. The Leicester game will be more then enough to get ready for Real.

    I’m absolutely gutted

It the players will have gotten their rest so I wouldn’t rule it out
They surely have some contingency in place and that’s the most logical

The players havent got their rest they trained as normal for this game and if the game is on next saturday they will have to train as normal now to prepare for that. I really cant see it being next saturday. Tomorrow or tuesday this week or Tues and wed of next week is the only way I see it staying in this gw.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 377 ✭✭dockysher

Its very likely to be played next weekend with reat of games, city have enough fixture congestion coming up. They wont want to put this fixture back any further.
It still means even more rotation with city players over next few weeks.

Logistically it would make most sense to nip this in the bud next weekend to be honest.

    Now.

They have 1 DGW because of the Carabao final, 1 DGW for this weeks game and a very good possibility of one of those being made into a TGW depending on FA cup results.

No thats two midweeks after. They could play next midweek.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 377 ✭✭dockysher

Next weekend only practical solution really, especially for city. If they get through in Fa cup they will have more fixture congestion later on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 377 ✭✭dockysher

Ya but that would be 3 games within a week of each other and Leicester game a big game for them too.

    What rest?
They prepared for this game, now they should be on their winter break.
Defeats the purpose of a break if you don't get a break.

West Ham have a say in all this aswell and chances are next weekend doesnt suut them. Also Pep may feel that they would benefit more in the long run by giving his players a real break. The league is gone anyway and they are guaranteed top 4 so if they have to squeeze in a home game against a team they should beat so be it.

Salah but everyone will be on him. I’ll be lucky to field 9 this GW

Is Lundstram destined for the bench for the rest of the season.

I was iffy about whether WCing was the right choice before this GW.

Its already been a good decision.

I think it's safe to say he is officially not first choice now.
