I just said meh and changed channels. It's on BBC Player apparently if you have access.

I'm afraid the impact will be lost if you are watching a recording.
The whole point of the episode was that you are watching live. When the sound goes first, and then again, you are saying to yourself, well this is embarrassing. When they abandoned the program altogether and started to show the episode "A Quiet Night In" I nearly switched over. In fact it was only because I went to my phone to see what Twitter was saying that it delayed me long enough to the point where everything changed. When Pemberton and Sheersmith were in their dressing room also readding twitter it just, well, got very unreal.

Love it to bits, but given the sheer number of edits needed would imagine the only actual live bit was when they were watching TV ("At least we'll get the repeat fees...)

Briliantly done though - from the leaking of stories in the UK press to changing Stephanie C\'s Wikipedia page to announce her suicide

Great first episode - and some great one-liners...

“We looked more like Showaddywaddy than football referees!”

And “are they City pants”? “No I put them on clean this morning”.

The ref was literally inside no 9

I am an eejit - only this morn I thought “where was the no 9 reference”. D’oh.

Some great great lines. I did have to rewind the last few mins to watch again though, as I think a lot of the football stuff sailed past me / felt a bit samey. I just wasn’t getting it, until the end. I should watch it all again tonight.

I enjoyed it while watching but thinking back, I dunno how much sense it actually made. Was everything he did a ploy to get City promoted, because there were so many things he had no control over. Maybe it's not worth thinking about or worth watching again.

Actually was a bit disappointed in that one, I think it's the second one they've ended
with a body in a bathtub
    .

Didn't care for that at all ....poor season so far overall.

Did we miss something? Didn't see the point of that

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,567 ✭✭✭cozar

Was expecting a bigger twist but enjoyed it all the same.

    Apparently, there was a twist last night...which I didn’t spot... :o

The mum ran the loan shark over, hence the car repairs.

I thought that was the best one of this season so far, really glad they didn't do a big reveal on that.

I liked it, just as an intimate family drama with an implied murder.

Have only just discovered this TV show. had seen it on Netflix and knew of the actors but had never bothered watching it. More fool me, some excellent episode in Season 1 and 2. Just starting Season 3 on Netflix.
