    Trying my patience this one...

Funny at times but way too silly for the majority..

I have a terrible weakness for terrible punning and plays on words so I quite enjoyed it.

    Genoa? :pac:

    Was interesting
Maybe was a bit too laid back with the loose wacky script. The end didn't feel that satisfying, I'd probably still watch it again though :pac:

Weird but I loved the corny jokes and puns.
What are you doing to my Pops?
    I'm trying to make him come-to :D

Unusual, I think it's one that will grow on repeat views.

They quite liked it on Cook'd and Bomb'd

Once you went with it, it was enjoyable although lets never had another one like it again.

How many genres of film and stage can one get into 30 minutes?
This episode was best summed up by Columbina who describes it as thus "sounds like the sort of thing a drama teacher would have a **** to”.

One of the best episodes yet!

Really good. Inside No 9 will always deliver a couple of fine episodes every series.

And if there are any episodes that have a poor ending, us fans will help Reece and Steve out. ;)

A whole new take on what inside number nine might mean in the bedroom scene towards the end

    That was a good episode
    But how did they escape?

    ???
    Adjoining room

Pretty good that, bar an ending which didn't really deliver.

Dunbar was great in it though.. almost channelling McKellan in Extras at times I thought, although not quite as OTT.

At this stage I feel like it would be a twist if there was no twist. This week's didn't even really make sense, how did Bev hide the baby from her parents.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,988 ✭✭✭✭fritzelly

Wasn't that impressed with this episode - or maybe the twist was the actor became nothing more than a back of the head shot...
Suppose they can't all be great but a bit flat for me

Good grief that was muck. How the mighty have fallen. The first episode in this last series put up the warning signs but last night's episode was awful.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,988 ✭✭✭✭fritzelly

What the hell was that supposed to be?

New series begins this Wednesday at 10pm on BBC2 (11.15pm on BBC2 NI)!

    Mark Gatiss!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 411 ✭✭hkjohn

Oh dear. Worst IN9 I’ve ever seen

That episode was very reminiscent of The Wicker Man!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 81 ✭✭drserious4

That is a kind way to put it, it was a total rip off of the Wickerman.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 44,349 ✭✭✭✭Basq

It reminded me more of Midsommar than The Wicker Man. Was fine.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 411 ✭✭hkjohn

Given that SP and RS have always worn their love of 1970s British horror films on their sleeve, it's more of a homage than a rip off

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 411 ✭✭hkjohn

    Nine Lives Kat was excellent.

Best of the three so far

Liked those last 2 episodes a lot more than the first one which did nothing for me

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 75,107 ✭✭✭✭Welsh Megaman

    Best episode so far!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 411 ✭✭hkjohn

    Agree.

only real dud was the first one.

eps 3, 4 and 5 have all been top notch

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,988 ✭✭✭✭fritzelly

Were they real ads? I'm sure I remember them from when I was a kid, especially the electricity pylon one

Anyway another dud - a 50% hit rate for a show isn't good, maybe time to pack it in

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 44,349 ✭✭✭✭Basq

Don't know...haven't watched the last 3 yet but 'Nine Lives Kat' was the only one that was really poor!

'Mr King' was decent, albeit a fairly blatant 'Midsommar' / 'The Wicker Man' ripoff. And enjoyed some of the one-liners in 'Merrily, Merrily' albeit a bit of a dull payoff.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,646 ✭✭✭Hangdogroad

Theyre a homage to a series of public information films (pifs) that were shown on British TV in the 70s called Charley Says. I wouldnt remember them myself as they were slightly before my time and we couldn't get the British channels anyway but I know of them through Scarred For Life (book and website that focuses on unsettling 70s and 80s pop culture)

Bbc has renewed IN9 for two more series

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,988 ✭✭✭✭fritzelly

No one watching the new series or is it in a new thread?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 44,349 ✭✭✭✭Basq

Playing catch-up.. only watched the second episode last night. Solid start though!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,615 ✭✭✭✭Ghost Train

I watched the Christmas one and I watched the 4th episode a week or two back. Must watch the ones I missed.

Maybe not the best time of year for this type of TV

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,988 ✭✭✭✭fritzelly

When you start watching episode 5 just think about 3 by 3 in case you think what the hell!
