I'm thinking of applying for a permanent sna position. If it's permanent will that mean I'll still have it after the summer holidays? Also if it's permanent will you be paid over mid term and summer school holidays?

    Thanks in advance!

No such thing as a Permanent SNA job- when your student leaves the school and if there is no other students with an allocation of SNA hours then your job is gone. Good chance that your position will be there come September with changes being made. I can’t post a link to an article about these changes. Google “new model for SNAs and school inclusion model”.

Once you are employed on the 1st week after the Christmas holidays you will be paid for the holidays ahead, start after that & it will be October Midterm before you get paid when school closes.

    Hope this helps.

Thank you very much for your reply!

I'm currently working in a crèche ft but would really like to be in a school setting.

Do you still have the pay scale and pensions etc?
