Live GAA In The Eighties/Early Nineties.

    Before live matches became the norm and the show was renamed The Sunday Game Live, the only games that would be shown were the minor and senior semi finals and finals in both codes.
    This coverage was pretty basic up until the mid eighties with little or no discussion or analysis.

    Does anyone remember the theme music to this programme, or even suggest where I might find it?

    No, this was a different tune.

    Jagerlatein was only used for the evening highlights programme.

    because Jagerlatein has been used by the sunday game for as long as I remember.

    Great video, brought back some fantastic memories.

    Happy days indeed. The games spoke for themselves, and we hadn't celebrity trolls trying to make a name for themselves running down lads playing a game of ball, or calling out referees and managers having never referees nor managed in their lives.
