I've never Triple captained a goalkeeper before.... :)

In the days before TC but Everton had a DGW and I stuck the captaincy on Howard, he did this

    Still my greatest FF moment

I had Howard that week and was annoyed to find out that a goalie scoring only gets 6 points, the same as a defender.

    Same, thought it was unfair!

I had been planning getting Salah in and triple captaining him as a differential .
To have TAA, Mane and Salah.
All rivals have Mane. None have Salah.

But double pool defence is probably the simplest thing to do and TC Mane.

Fabianski only real option for west ham for me, i dont fancy gambling on Antonio or Anderson or Noble converting a penalty.

    Mark Trooolble penalty :pac:

Means 3 out for me. I always think things like this are good for more focused players as we knew they were coming. Definitely catches out the ore casual player when they look to the next week and see their player doesn't have a fixture.

We say that every year, overthink it, and end up with triple Brighton defence

Completely agree. I think there is enough cash there & financially feasible players to have a decent bench & flip a few in for this BGW

    Captain Duffy!

We all went down on that ship together, laughing to myself here thinking back at it. 3 players, 1 a captain and they returned Zero points in a game.

    It does
    But
It also makes me reluctant to go for aguero /Mahrez now
So who knows how many points I’ll miss out on in mean time !
I have Henderson lundstram Grealish already

It’s a real spanner in the works and means I certainly can’t WC next week
I suppose I could WC that week
    Pain in the hole
I just assumed Lecister would go through !

The key is not to not overthink it.

What's the prediction on when the fixture will slot in?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,342 ✭✭✭Porthallian

Unless Salah scores big tonight I'm gonna be a total casual for the remainder of the season, as regards blanks and DGWs.

I've planned for weeks to get triple Pool for this dgw and once again it's been a damp squid. 4 pts from 3 in the first game. While rivals have played as normal with zero planning and are on scores of 50-60 pts.

Was the same last season with DGW, TC, BB. I know a good few here advise using chips in SGWs but I never listen :P

    34 and 37 are for DGW/TGW.

    Possible blanks in 31 too.

Saw suggestions of a late treble that would certainly be a bit of fun!

    Would it involve City?

    Would it involve City?

I believe so. You might get 1 out of 3 games if you're lucky.

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,810 ✭✭✭✭jimmii

    Would it involve City?

According to Ben Crelin it's something along the lines of efl final plus semis of the fa cup and cl so not super unlikely. Presumably by gw34 they won't have anything at all to play for so there probably wouldn't be a single player to play in all 3.

What is the current state of play with blanks and doubles? I'm thinking of playing the wildcard but I dont know what's going on. Thanks

    4 blanks in 28.
Other blanks depend on FA cup results.

DGWs are scheduled for 34 and 37.
    Possible TGW for City.

No idea when fixtures for 28 blanks will be announced.
