Thermostat staying open NCT fail?

    Have nct at 8.30 am tomorrow, but noticed the temp guage is up and down, so most likely thermostat issue.

    Will nct fail as its not getting to temp ?

    Its not a direct failure but bear in mind engine coolant temperature can have an effect on the efficiency of the engine and in turn the exhaust emissions but hopefully it should not be an issue
