    Feck off, Joe.
You're perfectly entitled to take pics in a public place.
Where the line can be drawn is taking creepy pics of a young wan on a tram.

Don’t photographers stand outside courts and take photos of everyone going in and out without their permission?

Joe needs to learn some law.

It is perfectly legal to photograph in public. You don't need anyone's permission.

You should out of courtesy ask the person in whatever you are photographing but there is nothing illegal if you don't.

He had probably got a new phone and was experimenting with its controls going home on the LUAS oblivious to all around.

The lad who took the photograph on the Tram now has a name to go with the photo. The name Erin is not very common. He could find her in a couple of minutes on Social media.

Very irresponsible to mention her name considering the circumstances of the call.
