So I've had a tv licence for the last few years but I never watched RTE etc I have a games console and fire tv connected and that's all I use. I decided to get rid of the tv and buy a monitor so avoid the charge.

Monitor arrived today and I gave the old tv to family. I have no arial, dish, tv or any tuner in the house, I do have a wire coming into the house and there is a little box on the wall that says ntl with a coaxial cable coming out of it. Do i have to get rid of that too?

No device capable or receiving a tv signal no licence required.
