Trying to find part for car (front grille thing)

Hey,

My car went through the NCT the other day, while there the lads helpfully managed to do something which resulted in the front grille/trim on bonnet coming off on my drive home. I managed to stop and pick part up, but it doesn't want to go back on, it looks like there's a clasp or snap broken on the sides..

Car is a C4 Grand Picasso, see attached picture with the piece I need highlighted. It connects to the edge of the bonnet. I can't figure out exactly what this piece is called, or how to find it online. I do have what I think is a part number on the piece that came off (96 731 787 77), but I haven't had much joy in finding this.

I feel like this is a simple thing to reattach if I had to right piece, and I'm trying to avoid have to go to someone to assist - any ideas?

(Sorry if I come off as a bit thick, I probably am.. :pac:)

New best go main dealer route, costly though.

Have a look on www.partfinder.ie , they should have plenty from dismantled cars.

It's also worth pricing it from a dealer as at least you can verify it is the correct part. You could also try a scrap yard but they might only sell you the entire bonnet if it's not damaged.

Swing by a dealer and ask, they might help you for free or cheap if all that is needed is some plastic clip.
