Hello, Looking at options to design and implement some systems of centralised patch management and Windows OS updates, with other applications as a bonus. Anyone found or using a solution that allows an agen tto be installed on each end point and be centrally (external to their LAN),can you recomend / any feedback ,please. Found few tools here, any impressions highly appreciated: https://www.ittsystems.com/patch-management-tools-and-software/ Thanks,

I've used Solar Winds and System Centre (Old WSUS). Both are great.

[edit] just clicked the link, both are listed.

Have been using ManageEngine Desktop Central for a while now - I like it a lot! Covers all the bases full endpoint management -well worth a look - great support team behind it as well.

    From Google :

"What is SCCM patch management? System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) is a software management suite provided by Microsoft that allows IT teams to manage Windows-based computers. Of its many features, SCCM is commonly used by organizations to deploy updates and security patches across a network."

They both still exist, independently, just like they've also done. SCCM uses WSUS as part of its patch management, just like it has always done. You don't need SCCM to use WSUS.
