whats involved and costs in root canal of back tooth lower jaw

I have 2 massive cavities in 2 molars on the left and right of my lower jaw I think I need root canal treatment and a crown on both. Just looking for a rough cost of treatment . I realise the molars have 3 roots generally so am I right in saying the total treatment per tooth

1.Root canal of 3 roots
2.Filling
3.Crown

Probably around the 1300-1500e mark I would think depending on materials used etc..

Are you crazy, if you can save you teeth do, the only reason you would not is because you cannot afford it. Would you chop off a finger or toe if you you could save it at the expense of next years holiday?

Its a slippery slope and having crap teeth is a choice, and you will regret your decisions as a cock sure young person in the future when your toothless and wise.

A root canal and crown will be 1500 to 2000 euro depending on who does it and the quality of their training and the materials they use. A little more money spent usually give a good increase in predictability.

Had 2 back teeth which had root canals 20 years ago redone last year. Cost me 2k.

You sound like an excellent candidate for Dental Tourism. Plenty of hungarian dentist in Ireland charging Hungary prices, you could go there either. A lot of people make a lot of assumptions about dentistry and as soon as I am called a scare monger I am out and I will save my advice for those willing to listen. Its your gob do as you please.

I asked about the costs of a specific type of treatment I didn't ask for an opinion about Dental Treatment Abroad but I got one anyway. I also didn't lash out I simply had a difference of opinion and your incorrect about my assumptions too . All treatments may not be equal but it has more to do with the specific Dentist and not the country they practice in. And the very suggestion that Irish Dentists aren't trying to protect their interests by putting people off travelling abroad for less expensive treatment is laughable. They must think people are very naive

There are great dentists and terrible dentists in every country. The question your not asking is are these good dentists operating in these high speed dental tourism pclinics which cater to bargain hunter patients that fly away, and use middlemen that get commission based on how much the patient spends. The answer is no, these great dentists are treating the local population where they can do everything right in and the correct sequence with the correct healing times. I could offer it at the same price if I will willing to do it that fast, to that standard and use medical devices made to that standard, but fortunately my patient live local to me and I have a reputation to try and protect, as well as ethics to uphold. I also have to deal with complications and long term maintenance.

All dentist will tell you they are great. When was the last time a barber told you they were going to give you a bad haircut?

There’s great dentist everywhere around the world, including Zanzibar. What they are trying to point out is the risk of something going wrong and having little to no comeback and aftercare. You asked and got a guide price. If you want to go to Turkey/Hungary/Uzbekistan then I wish you the best of luck with it. There’s no need to complain about how much of a rip off you think dental costs are in Ireland as there’s no doubt a lot more costs involved here in Ireland

Doctors going from Ireland to Australia are doing it to work ina better staffed health system with a reasonable quality of life where you aren't expected to do 80 hour weeks and do 24 and 48 hour shifts.

I don't know why anyone would cheap out on their teeth. People spend money on all sorts but will neglect the essentials.
