Hadn't spotted that. Where did you see it out of curiosity? Guess something was up that they had him on the bench to begin with!

Word coming back from Paris. But Mike Prendergast alluded to it yesterday https://www.rte.ie/sport/rugby/2020/0110/1105671-mike-prendergast-these-are-days-munster-were-reared-on/

Saracens get win without tbp. Doesn't change a whole lot for Saeacens but max they can finish on is 19

Makes a win tomorrow and a TBP win next week enough to guarantee staying ahead of Sarries as opposed to needing two TBP wins.

A TBP win tomorrow was Dreamland stuff so it dosnt change anything for Munster going into the game as it was always a must win, but it just makes the reward for a win that bit better

Yup exactly. Didn't realise Saracens had a weaker team out. Would have thought they would be going for the try bonus especially when theres another round next week too.

So looking like if Munster beat Racing and Ospreys with a tbp, Saracens can come max of 2nd. If Racing beat Munster, Saracens can only be 2nd. Be interesting to see what team they put out next week.

I don't find any of those stat comparisons interesting, they just look through and pick stats that look competitive between two players. The first "stat" they had for Aki and Guitoune was "age".

Matt Gallagher from Saracens being linked with a move to Munster next year

Each to their own sure, someone else on here might. Age isn't mentioned here obviously for what its worth.

Irish qualified, but would have thought a back 3 signing would have been a better signing. In saying that KE is 32 now.

Bit of a strange signing with the likes of Haley and Daly breaking through, especially since he only plays fullback but wouldn't be a bad signing for depth I guess. Is he Irish qualified?

One of his mum/dad is from limerick so he is IQ, hasn’t played the required level for England to capture him. How many out and out specialist 15s do we have?1, who's hopefukly going to push on for further representation. Jvg and co may see Daly as Earls’ long term replacement on the wing so another full back is shrewd business

His dad is former all black John Gallagher so guessing it's his mother's side.

Edit: scratch that his grandparents are Irish on his dad's side.

Think Munster need to be looking for an Irish qualified big lump of a seven, any suggestions?

Is the 7 the blindside now in Munster due to South African influence?

Daly could play wing potentially. Dont think it's any harm having another fullback at all

Matt Gallagher has also played left wing for Sarries, his contract runs out in 6 months and will not be renewed.
Talks have taken place between his reps and Munster, but expect no announcement until after the 6nations is what I'm hearing....from sources unreliable after a few pints

Grasping at straws but if Racing beat Saracens and we beat Ospreys with a tbp and 2 of following results happen think we have a chance?! Gloucester lose, Northampton lose, have better pd than Glasgow (and them not to get a tbp). Ah feck it Saracens will probably beat Racing and make it all irrelevant

    It's theoretically possible.

Would need Glasgow to not get a TBP too.

Murray really needs to sit down now for a while, both for Ireland and Munster. His speed of play is shockingly slow now, I have doubts about the Racing line speed at the best of times today but he wasn’t helping things at all. Every ruck was take the ball, hold, then sometimes step with it and then pass. Receivers were getting nailed every time.

True. Had it in my head Munster got the lbp. Wishful thinking!

I only saw the first 20 minutes but I thought he was very good. He cleared the ruck very sharply and accurately, putting forwards onto the ball on the gain line and into gaps. It was far more dynamic than what I've seen recently.

Threw a fantastic wide pass to the wing in the first half

I was only half watching but thought he was pretty average to be honest. Also had at least one total howler of a box kick from just outside the 22 which you really don't expect from him.
