In fairness to that poster, he hasn't shown a whole lot bar one game. If he wasn't Irish, he wouldn't be on anyones radar.

He showed plenty in the games before
    He was 4.5
He is very young in his first season so he is bound to pick up niggles
Calling him a one hit wonder is harsh

A 4.5m striker getting minutes will always be on the radar, Irish or not. And he's shown plenty in a few games, you obviously haven't watched him much.

He has 11 points since GW8.

You don't have to watch anymore - There's enough data available everywhere now to tell the story.

The way analytics is going, footage is actually being used less and less, so saying something like 'you obviously haven't watched him much', is honestly the retort of a child.

Really? Do you work in football at the highest level? Stats will never tell the full story. The eye test has and always will be the best way of determining whether a player is good enough or not.

I work in Data/Analytics, so have many Football/Rugby teams at the top level as clients etc.

Tableau/Qlikview data is what they want these days. Less and less looking for footage.

Why do clubs still employ scouts then?
