It's great to see the Blueshirts in crisis mode all the same though.

And Come Out Ye Black and Tans has always been a fun tune.

I don't know why you think British people will be frothing over this. Most of them won't have a clue what it's about and thus won't care. Sorry folks.

I don't really care about what any British person thinks about this, I don't think they'll be frothing about it either. There's only one man I care about who will be frothing over this.

    And make no mistake.

He is frothing right now like a Tassimo Cappuccino.

    His name is Charlie TanAgain.

The Wolfe Tones don't recognise Royalties, British or otherwise.

And 10 years since Rage Against the Machine had the Christmas number one, in a campaign to stop an X Factor type song getting it.

People might think they are being anti establishment by jumping on these bandwagons. But they are just the other side of the same coin, joining in because others are joining in.

So everything that happens is the same as everything else?

I don't think people are jumping on a bandwagon, though. In this case, it is a genuine protest against something that was genuinely a terrible idea.

Jesus. What an embarrassment. People in the UK are going to think that most Irish people are backwards RA heads with eyebrows on their cheekbones, thinking we listen to that rebel sh1te.

Also I think this thread needs to be moved to current affairs mods. A few refugees from their have hijacked it and used it for their favourite pastime. Droning on and rubbing their hands saying FG are really in for it now, and predictably being well wide of the mark.

Sure just like M Bailey no one cares except the cranks, isn't that right? lol.

    Fine Gael....

If they're not trying to whitewash/sanitise history, they're trying to whitewash/sanitise boards forums.

Who gives a fiddlers what the brits think, this is a protest against commemorating a state sponsored killing machine, and Fine Gael trying to rewrite history, and telling us all to be good little Europeans, and love everyone. Its the final straw in a litany of mistakes and mismanagement of the country.

I think this thread was started with light hearted intentions to discuss the funny fact that the wolf tones are number one in the UK chart, but has clearly become a very political thread and should be warehoused in to Current Affairs.

    No its not.

It's a few kids who are having a laugh and playing a prank. It's not some revolution against the government. Calm down.

    Speak for yourself.

Most Irish people like decent Irish music like U2, Bob Geldof and the Corrs.

Not terrorist sympathisers who pass caps around their gigs looking for money "for the cause" - i.e a few quid to buy materials for bombs and shovels to bury touts on deserted lands.

Most Irish people don't care where it's from as long as there's a donk on it!

There should be a “suggest thread move” button. One that would be less of a “reporting”, no one wants to be a rat.

The “Current Affairs” forum is there for a reason, when it spills into AH it just turns ugly and angry. The smell of mouth breathing stinks the place out.

Could do without it really. Send it back to CA. Please!

There was no such thing as dance music when I was a child. However I loved going to raves myself all through the 90s.
