    For a second there
I though your man said " he lost his virginity to a goat"

But then I realised he said "ghost"

Phew. A goat would be too far.

A ghost is fair game though :D

Barry John is either on the sneachta, heavily, or a complete and utter imbecile

Having heard that the guy at the front desk does not work in the Gibson hotel I guess the rest are actors as are the people in the restaurant

Mateo is the maitre d in La Cucina. The ginger waiter is a senior manager in Pi and the others work in bars and restaurants in Dublin.

They're not actors but they are hired in to be the staff who show their faces on screen. Other Gibson staff serve as well but aren't "featured".

The UK waiting staff are all actors though.

The latter. I've met the guy many times.

I'm trying not to sound like too much of an arse but the lad should be sectioned - he's not well

The constant fake laugh is a real sign to be honest!

I think I've seen your man Sylvester before on something!

I'm only watching it on repeat now but the Stonemason fella seems sound and is a good looking lad.

Limerick is far enough away from both Mullingar and Donegal.
They must not have a big selection to choose from, if they're matching people 2 and 3 hours from each other.

    Same as last series.

The UK version very often pairs people from the same city or town. You'd never see them match people who live hundreds of miles away or opposite parts of the country.

Finally last couple seemed nice - guy from Limerick seemed like he's got good personality and intelligent enough just a bit nervous while she seemed like a good match for him.

The woman shooting down poor Sylvester was a bit unfortunate as he seemed like he'd look after, although I'd say he's a bit intense & annoying but maybe thats just not what she's looking for!

The lad at the end with the ghost comment is either a parody character or else just yet another poor fella questing to be different, original, interesting and deep while secretly admitting (on tv) that you think you lost your virginity when wacking off but somehow thought it was real because the person you were fantasising about was dead.

I'm not sure what it's like for first dates but a mate of mine used to work on the irish 'take me out' and said that they really, really struggled to get people to go on it - so maybe they cant get the numbers to match people to others from their locality

She broke the cardinal rule of First Dates so I immediately disliked her after. If you're going to say no, don't let the other person go first (if they're a nice person).

    It's so mean.

Yeah I agree - I might sound dramatic here but it's not a good trait to have.
Shows a complete lack of empathy with the other person - just say no and spare them the embarrassment

She's still on the shelf for a reason. Sister seems a bit of a laugh.

What was the problem with Barry John exactly? It seems doesn’t take anything seriously and was just on to have a laugh. Certainly a bit of a mad man and his jokes a bad but that’s not a reason for all the attacks on here.
Regarding the constant fake laugh. I think that was because your ones **** jokes. “What time you on till. Now we can’t have fun”, “ I can just go back to my ex”. If you didn’t fake laugh along it would be too awkward.
The stone mason seemed like a great lad and Slyvester is strangely familiar. Any ideas if he was on TV before?
