Listening to BBC radio 1 earlier about theWolfe Tones been number 1 in UK charts was some laugh , seems Nick Grimshaw DJ is baffled as to how this Irish Folk band could have so many downloads in the UK!
Not only has Charlie Flanagan Fine Gael MP for laois messed up his party’s upcoming general election , he has half of the youth of the UK looking up this Wolfe Tones band from Ireland . Like the Film protest in Father ted !

Daily Mail and Express readers will all collapsing in a heap after they hear the song or read the lyrics, Sun readers frothing at the mouth (more than normal).

Oh well, give me an easy life and a peaceful death.

Steve Coogan should release his version.

“It matters not what someone is born, but what they grow to be” - A. Dumbledore

“It is not blood that makes you Irish but a willingness to be part of the Irish nation” - Thomas Davis

Pity Top of the Pops isn't on any more. The Twitter reaction among the Brexit mob would be the internet highlight of the decade.

No didn’t play it but was in studio going though the chart with someone who’s name I didn’t catch ....just said to the listeners an Irish Band who must be very big amongst the Irish community in the UK and moved on quickly ...

Trolling the UK with stuff like this should be our national past-time

can't believe its 17 years since this one:
'A Nation Once Again' by the Wolfe Tones, has been voted the world's favourite song in a BBC poll.

It’s a good time to have young people listing to the Wolfe tones and giving out Fine Gael been apologists for the Black and Tans with an election around the corner .
One would never have thought I’d be at work Listening to young ones giving about the planned RIC event and downloading wolf tones songs . It seems to have gone viral and many of these young ones will vote anyone bar Fine Gael after this fiasco .

Leo Varadkar and Charlie Flanagan part of the Wolfe Tone marketing team. ;-)

Eoghan McDermortt will probably have to find a PC version of it to play!

Yup of all the mistakes that fine Gael has made, this is the one that will define an election. The song is being used as a protest to highlight how far varadkar and his ministers are out of touch with the electorate. Unbelievable.

Good one Charlie, his reactionary west brit pandering has opened the Pandora's box of latent republicanism.

    Charlie, Leo and mother Madigan.

A complete bunch of fcuking numpties right in the mouth of an election, and straight after the Maria Bailey debacle, you couldn't have made it up:D

Leo will surely be on his knees offering Mícheál unspeakable favours to avoid him bringing down the house. Not a good week for him to be going to the Áras.

It's easy seeing Charlie Flanagans position from this

Search Charlie Flanagan Easter Lily on youtube

Michael Martin has played the long game by giving varadkar enough rope to hang himself and will now have to go for the jugular. The scary thing is, this whole debacle is making fianna fail look good.

I'd say Leo would hope some other FG TD will put in a claim for something such as walking into a door to take the attention off this!
