How do I get music on my phone to play through speakers of car?

I have a passat b6, standard radio etc. I don't see anywhere on the radio I can plug in anything.

I want to play music on my phone through the speakers of the car. Any easy way to do this?

A streaming supported Parrot, a new head unit, or a dension. There might be something you could put in the tape player too (if there is one).

What is a parrot? I know it's somethign to do with bluetooth.

What kind of cost would I be looking at? Is it easy?

Is it the easiest of the 3 you mentioned? There's a CD player.

Pre integrated kits, I used to use something like the below, cheap but effective.

Just set your radio back to the start (87mhz I think?) and go up by .1mhz until all you hear is static and then set that frequency on the transmitter.

You may have to fine tune it as you drive through different counties but generally recall the very low and very high numbers being free

I have (and still use) something similar in my campervan - great for playing movie soundtracks from laptop or tablet through the speaker system. I think I paid about 5€ for it.

Mine is set around the 87-ish mark which generally works fine all across Europe except in major urban areas.
