Not sure a dealer would be expected to include a warranty with such a car either

I've ways gotten one. They have to give you some sort of warranty.

Does a car not have to be 30 years old to get a classic insurance policy?

    No that's the tax.

Some companies give for cars 15 years or older.

Any ideas which companies will insure a 15year old as a classic

What kinda price should it make?. Prices for Toyota Auris seem quite strong from a lot of sellers. Been looking for a petrol Auris of something similar for Mrs T.

    T.

I would skip them altogether to be honest. They’re average at best.
I wouldn’t pay more than 2250-2500 of someone else’s money for a really clean 08, but as said they’re not worth paying over the odds for.

    Carole Nash, autoline.
Depends on the car and such.

Carole Nash wouldn't cover me on a 95 as didn't have a garage, Autoline did though. Carole Nash said garage required if in Dublin.

You need to have a 'normal' car insured too.

That Strata spec is very rare on them.

Yeah, they really need to be colour coded to look right.

Wife had an aygo years ago
    Big trouble with the ecu
    Clutch cable snapped also
    Radio stopped working aswel
Wasn't too old at that stage either

I was passenger in a 190 bhp vvtL-i conversion aygo last year and scared the life out of me

Are Aygos better insulated than MK1 Yaris?

    My ‘01 Yaris at 4K RPM at 120 km/h & I think I’ve hearing loss.

Worse. Plus engine is way louder too. It’s all kinda fun though.

    Aygo is worse again
Regularly done a 600klm round trip in one and between the road noise and cross wind on a winters dark evening we were happy to get something bigger and safer at the time to replace it. The aygo the wife had was bought from her family member at a good price so not a car we went looking for

It's a city car, on no way designed to go near a motorway.

I'd die inside if I had to commute in one....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 73,328 ✭✭✭✭colm_mcm

The difference between an Aygo and an Up/Mii is staggering in terms of refinement.

Almost 200k kms on that one; I like Toyotas, but that's a grim place to sit for 200k kms, Strata or not.

I'd say that there are quite few out there who would be even more attracted to that car after reading your comment..... the scary part I mean :D:D:D:D:D

Octavia 1.9tdi are reliable and seem to go forever might sound like a tractor but perfectly fine other than that

    Something like this

I would drive that one myself looks clean and tidy one for this hread

    Megane or fluence.

No dpf to worry about either.

The estate meganes are actually a grand car.
1 5 diesel well able to go as well.

2009 model doesn't still wasn't fitted in 2011 and a bit after that

The 2006 wouldn't be the reliable version.

    Try get 2009 upwards.

86hp or less it won't set your world on fire but reliable enough.

I find them quite cramped and worst part is constantly hitting head getting in or out.

This is a sub 450 car and only be used for 25km a day to work only need it for a month of two at most hopefully it will survive that haha

Is this the same for the 1.5dci Laguna 3? Circa 2009

I’d be more interested in the Laguna estate than the Megane estate due to size.
