How much bog roll do you use?

Ok, not expecting any responses here but I'll ask anyway. I should buy shares in the Andrex company, can't keep up with replacing the rolls on the holder. Have 2 kids (age 10 and 12), myself and wife and am constantly buying the stuff.
I reckon I use about 10 squares per day (don't know if that's on the low side, high side or average) don't know what the rest of family use, yet have to put a new roll on every day! (somedays 2). Maybe there's less squares on a roll than I imagined.
One time I had to resort to using newspaper after running out (not pleasant) and have to unblock the loo roughly once a week!
Now the question, is this common is homes with kids? Are we just the average bog roll users? Why do loo roll producers make the squares so small thin and weak? Now wonder people use wet wipes instead....
