I know this guy and to be fair his very straight up type of guy... i would imagine he might of got a relative or someone to do the ads as his an elderly chap, so this could possibly explain the mistake.

I just messaged the guy and he still insists it's a 1970 despite it being mid eighties one.

    C plate ?

ok his clearly mistaken then. I had dealings with him before and found him to be true to his word...

the manta "B2" was released from 1982 onwards....

Motorcheck.ie indicates the car is 1985

That's ****ing gorgeous. Though they reg is a gowl.

Can you re-reg a ZV to, say in this case, 81-D-nnnn?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,883 ✭✭✭Tzardine

You can not go back from a ZV to a normal reg.

The high def pictures on the facebook site he mentions are not to be missed if you are interested in that E28!

The seller of that e28 had a similiarly nice and well presented Porsche 924 for sale a few months ago, seems exactly the kind of person you'd want to buy a car from.

If I had the spare gold I would probably buy that tbh. Right colour, right wheels, half decent engine not the usual 2L on offer. A 535 in that combo would be the sweet spot but double the price.

Well said. Not often do you get a true classic car, a desirable model, for reasonable money, with an NCT and with an ad as well presented as that. Hope he gets his full asking price, he deserves it.

That 924 pics are up on that Facebook link as well. The interior is something else.

Seems to be an honest ad and an honest car, but no interior pics and no mention of NCT. I can't get the site to work to check it.

    1982 Porsche 924, €3600

Henry Ford & sons knew the Crusader name mightn't go down too well in the Irish market so I think we got Tara and/or Cashel for these run out models before the Sierra came in.

Hah, that’s my father’s car. He is waiting on me to take a few interior photos, I haven’t been home in a while to do so and he wouldn’t really be able to take and upload a few himself. No hidden surprises inside anyway, typical shabby(ish) 924 dash, nice upgraded 944 seats, and a new wooden steering wheel (plus a 911 wheel to go with it too)

No NCT, he is just one of those people!

Didn't you guys just get this a few months ago? Or am I confused with another poster?

He bought it in June, so not too long ago but long enough to enjoy it and subsequently get bored.

Good luck to Mr O Smiley with the sale.

But I'd be wanting w124man's opinion beforehand of course. :)

That Cortina is gone already, looked lovely for the money.
I seem to recall Michelle Rocca and John Devine doing the ads for the Tara/Cashel.

The Benz is obviously not a Diesel from the factory. It was converted at some stage and quite likely there are a lot of things not up to scratch, so it is up to you how much of mix and match you can tolerate.
