Daughter has a triton enrich mains fed shower, maybe 2 years old. Its just developed a fault, water now comes out of a small pipe at the bottom. Grandson says it made a "pop" noise just before.

Any ideas? It was maybe about €90 new when I fitted it, so not worth calling a plumber out.

Seems its a PRD pressure relief device, part is on order.

Before you fit the new PRD you will need to find out why the last one popped. If you don't then the same thing will happen the new PRD.

It's a pressure release device so there was a build up of pressure inside the shower & this safety device saved the day. Look for a blocked /spurious shower head or a blocked /spurious hose. The rubber hose inside the chrome hose may be damaged. Something was restricting the water coming out of the shower.

I know, but thanks for the reply. Its the original hose, AFAIK no flow issues and not in a particularly lime-y area
