Most of you only pretend you like it. It's ok to despise it. More women enter shelters after being battered this time of year than any other. Most people are depressed while pretending to be happy. Booze is medication for the boredom. Liberate yourself from the farce and refuse it.

    Hail Satan.

Someone didn’t have a Christmas double fap

It can definitely be an extremely toxic time to be around family members who you don't like, who are leeches or who are downright evil. This whole thing of plastering a smile on your face for the sake of the day is rubbish.

I love Christmas, but can understand how it can be difficult for some people.

    Still,
    HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!

Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue

    I don’t understand this.

Are people that weak that they can’t decide for themselves who they want to spend time with?

I know loads of people who don’t get on with their families, so they don’t spend Christmas with them.

    It’s easy.

It is easy to say that but families do come together at Christmas. What happens is they stay too together and then the drink takes it toll and old wounds are opened.

Well, I'm having a great day so far and that's all that matters to me.

No, its not. Family relationships can be complicated, particularly where some get along, and some do not. Thats without going into the situation of in-laws

That said, Happy Christmas to all of you, have a great day. About to crack open a few beers, cook the dinner, and watch some sh!te TV while stuffing my face with Celebrations

Jesus. That is a heartbreaking thing to read about the kids from this lady named Kathleen.

It does make you wonder about what type of thinking can be in people's minds like her at this time of the year.

Nobody deserves to go through losing a loved one just before Christmas. It's the most painful period of hell imaginable.

I hope that she finds some peace & happiness for this Christmas to help her ease her pain.

May god love her & may her spirit shine down upon her this Christmas.

I appreciate this time of year even more because it's bringing me a lot closer to my family than I usually am. And from the year I've had, with my uncle being found dead in his home at 49 and my dad committing suicide in June at the same age, I will take this day and run with it because if it means I can have one day of happiness out of the last 300 that have been miserable, then I'll have it over anything.

Too much detail? Well that's called reality. Some people go through much more hell than what you described.

Happy Christmas to all, and to yourself, OP. Whether you think it's ****e or not I hope you are grateful for what good things you have in life, because I certainly am, more so now than anything.

I need Christmas this year. I need what I have right now. And I'm happy I have it. If you think I'm only pretending then I'm sorry for your ignorance.

    (((HUGS)))

You are right to love and enjoy this special holy day
.. Right to stay with what is good and strong and a pleasure.

It is what many of us do when things are too hard to bear.

And it is the right and wise and strong way,
and hoping it is and has been a strength and a support...

Mrs has had the flu for the last 5 days. Not out of bed. Absolute horror for her.

3 kids under 5 all to myself for the last week pretty much. Yesterday's dinner was abandoned.

    Cancelled all our visits etc

Christmas 2019 can go f**k itself

Well I say that but the kids really enjoyed Christmas morning and Santa did his utmost for them so not all that bad. Even without poor Mum watching on.
