Guest mode on Google Chrome

Lately, when I use Google Chrome, I'm always in 'Guest Mode'. Before, if I wanted to use guest mode, I would got to Chrome and I would click the little round 'head & shoulders' icon at the top right of the screen, select 'Guest Mode' from the drop-down menu, and a new window would open. On this window, the head & shoulders was square instead of round. When I finished with guest mode, I would click on the square icon, a drop-down menu would appear and I would select 'Exit Guest mode' (or something to that effect).

Any ideas on how I can restore Chrome to its previous setting?

    Thanks.

For lack of better answer, uninstall/reinstall
