Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Same, was thinking of bringing in Rashford though, could give him the armband if I do.

    Richi tempting me.

    Kane or Son

A really tough week where the right choice could be invaluable as there will be such a spread of choices. Currently on Jiminez with KDB under consideration.

Rashford. Pool v West Ham was the pick of the games for captain choice this week!

Always wanted to captain Son. This week I'm gonna do it.

Son but Ricki is due a brace. Arsenal are porous

Son but Ricky is tempting me. Ahe should bag at least 1 goal.

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,022 ✭✭✭✭Iused2likebusts

    Probably KDB

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,333 ✭✭✭✭PARlance

Gone off any notion of Ricki. Only 2 double digit hauls this season, given his low ownership, I think having him would be good enough.

As someone who doesnt have KDB or Son they could both really hurt me, its f**king danger, danger this weekend.

    Alli as C

    Lundstram for me.

Brighton looked class going forward on Monday. No idea how they only scored 1

Was hoping to watch them. Maupay the standout?
I might be brininging him in to allow me to double up on Salah & Mane.

Yeah I suppose he was, but as a team they’re very good to watch.

    Sterking

Ideal week for a punt. The captain poll is gonna be very spread, so even if the top captains pick hauls, it's probably only gonna be 20% of teams that have him. If you get your punt right, could be big jumps.

With that in mind, think my biggest name with the lowest TSB % gets the armband, Bamidele Alli

Best look out for rumours about Aguero's current fitness.

Have picked utd defender for captain,

My logic being that Watford shouldn't score and it's been a while since a utd defender did anything useful.

I took out my Liverpool defence had robbo and taa, put in 2utd defenders, wan bissika and Maguire

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,896 ✭✭✭Irishphotodesk

I should add that the remainder of my team are pretty much playing each other so have no confidence in anyone

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,654 ✭✭✭✭extra gravy

Torn between Son and Rashford. Rashford has been consistent but I just don't trust United.

  • Registered Users Posts: 72 ✭✭HarryStuby

    Grealish

    That's strange logic tbh.

It's been a while since many players did something useful and the logic should tell you to avoid those players, not to captain them.

Having them is fine. But to put the armband on them?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,904 ✭✭✭daheff

I voted kdb, but I'm thinking Alli.

Have 2 ft, but no stand out transfers in

    Don't, you'll end up with 4 points.

Sssshhhhh! I think I'm playing him in a H2H - do it, follow your heart! :)

Man United haven’t kept a clean sheet since GW5. In that time, 2 defenders (Williams and Lindelof) have one attacking return each. Lindelof is the only one of those likely to play on Sunday. I don’t suggest even signing Lindelof, never mind captaining him.

I was trying to be gentle ;)

Personally wouldn't touch any of them.

Wouldn't even call it gambling. Vardy has been mopping up getting through on keepers this season. Guy is ridiculously cool and collected in those spots and he'll get them against this defence.

In what feels like my first somewhat risky captaincy choice this season, I'm going for Jimenez.

On lundstrum punt currently may switch back to safer option tomorrow I'd I had son I'd captain him

I brought in Zaha and I'm very tempted to put the armband on him.

Agreed, that the highest scoring player in the game can never be that much of a gamble. Particularly with fixtures the way they are this week and Vardy having a great record against top of the table teams throughout the years.

However, the thing that turned me off the move in the end was that City defensively aren’t as bad at home as away (and even at that, the narrative of City being leaky is overblown. They’re similar goals conceded than Sheff United and Crystal Palace who have been lauded as defensive strongholds.

For me, the regression without Laporte isn’t striking enough for me to go with the Leicester option in a game that Man City are 1/3 to win.

Having watched Palace on Monday I wouldn’t. They had no shots on goal in the first half and even though he got me a goal, he didn’t threaten too much and I’d say he massively over performed his xg.

This is absolutely a punty kind of week but I’d say this is one of the lower percentage punts personally.

    Throwing the armband on Richarlison.

Working on the assumption that Big Dunc will have Everton riled up into an absolute frenzy and that Arsenal will be Arsenal

He was subbed off the other night

Ive had the armband on Vardy recently but given this weekends fixture Ive swapped to Rashford

Watch as Watford and especially Ben Foster have their best performance in about 2 years

If you have Martial or Rashford they’re both very worthy of being captained.

I’ve 5 mins to decide whether to switch to Ricky or stick work Jiminez and his one assist ;)

It's down to KDB and Grealish for me. KDB seems like the more sensible choice but the maverick in me wants to take a chance on Grealish! Any thoughts?
