    In the GRAND SOCIAL for a quiet pint, probably end up in the Dawson Lounge and a few others enroute. I love this city.

    Thinking about a random job offer I just got: my immediate reaction was YES!!!! and WOOHOOO!!! So that's good. If only I can remember to play cool when negotiating.

    @Grem - hope you're doing ok. Process stuff in your own time and as you're ready to.
    @Skybirdjb - phew. Sleep deprivation is the worst thing in the world, but one good night and it's like you're born again! Hope you're on the home straits with baby bird
    @smurfjed - I like your holiday style :) A few years back I had a builder in, only got shot of him when I started randomly dropping in at odd times to check how things were going and hen moved back in on top of him muttering about budget and having run out of cash. That got shot of him pretty quick. They know they have you over a barrel so you gotta be tough... hold off a good big final payment too, he may need it for Christmas/shortly after? Might help focus his mind a little.
    @Grandeeod - Spiddal sounds so Irish and remote and romantic. Reality probably less prosaic, but still - nice to see different parts and not just the same random office park every day.

    Home at last after a long day. My Christmas shopping is officially done and I am having a few beers to celebrate that fact. I may have beers tomorrow too.... you know to celebrate the fact that it's Tuesday like....

    I'm on the sofa replying to texts, which I always take a long time to do. I have audio recording messages from a friend with a delicious 3-country accent on WhatsApp but I'm not in the headspace for replying to those.

    On the bus back home after my yoga group in town - feeling suitably stretched!

    Started the new job this morning. Pretty much as I was expecting - lovely people, and I have my own office to work out of. Only a few classes to give before Christmas. The real work begins in January - but plenty busy the next fortnight with a new course module to work on.

    Planning to put the Xmas tree up tomorrow evenning. :)
