hello Folks, it's for a large flat roof dormer, with 4 window openings. Wondering what is the best option as have seen it done either way and wondering what's the difference? Thanks a lot

Whats the ventilation strategy behind it?

Either works, both look absolute sh$t and will cleaning, especially if white
