    I have a very stupid problem :)
The boiler timer is mechanical and attached to the wall in the hallway. It's ticking every second and extremely noisy.
I rent the house so can't change the timer. Any ideas what I can use to soundproof the ticking noise that is low cost and not very invasive?

Report it to your landlord to start with. Maybe they will be willing to replace it.

Your only other option would be to build a small box around it.
