Saffers have the scrum advantage anyway

Japan need to run them around as much as possible

Neck roll at the breakdown from saffer no9. Barnes just said play on... seriously where is the consistency

Shocking defence. SA had their homework done.

They have their number I think

Bok pack is going to show us how it’s done today.

    Unlucky there Japan.

LeRoux very lucky there. Could have been very nasty.

Trying to just grab the ball off a player is a real kids move. They think they are tricking the coaches by making it look like they made an effort to stop him.

Frantic and frenzied defence from Japan...don't think they will have the physicality to withstand this for 80

Hopefully Japan get the invite to the Rugby Championship sooner rather than later. They have beaten two tier one teams this year and play an absolute brilliant style of Rugby.

    Should’ve been red

    Bollox, but fair.

Yellow card. Lucky not to be red. Only marginally away from landing on his head.

Wayne Barnes acted too quickly. He should have watched the replays.

Brainless collective performance in parts from Wales today ..... fortunately evened up an individual brainless moment from France.

However we're still alive and next week is another day.

    Should’ve been red

    Could have been.

One part of me is happy to see a ref being decisive, another part thinks it was worth another look

How was that not a red?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,258 ✭✭✭✭Beechwoodspark

I’ve watched a good amount of the matches this WC and that’s the most dangerous tackle I’ve seen so far.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,828 ✭✭✭✭Squidgy Black

That is extremely lucky for the saffers, if that was replayed in slow mo they would've deemed the point of contact to be head first.

Poor camera work showing too much from the camera above the pitch

Why didn't Barnes go to TMO...very quick decision there

Mustve not seen the tip tackle red card in the SA vs Samoa game.

Barnes is a coward, plain and simple.

That yellow card was smoking he pulled it out so fast to avoid a debate and having to make a proper decision.

    Disgrace.

Where was the TMO ..... should have been in Barnes ear asking him to look again at that.

That was a disgraceful decision by Barnes.

I feel Wales are probably better suited to the structured style SA (likely) will bring. You regularly have the number of Ireland and England yet struggle with the likes of France and Australia which on paper would make no sense. I think you’ll be better set against South Africa if it is them
