Iron box stuck in stove

This is gonna sound weird but I got my chimney cleaned the other day and the chimney guy told me the box in the stove that I thought was the back boiler is actually meant to be hung under the opening of the chimney to stop it burning up the chimney

I'm 6 years there and had no idea, the builders use to light fires before I moved in and must have just left it sitting inside the back of the stove, he tried to get it out but it's stuck

Does anyone have any idea how I could remove it? Here's a picture of the box. Thanks in advance

Light a fire let it go out and pull the box when it's still hot it will just pop out. Don't use your hands
