Kevin Feige's been promoted to Marvel's Chief Creative Officer.

The move puts the overall creative direction of Marvel’s storytelling and content creation across mediums, including publishing, film, TV, and animation under Feige.

Just a rumor, but it sounds like the unpopular Marvel TV stuff will definitely be rebooted (like Inhumans and possibly Iron Fist), while the more popular characters could live on in the MCU either in movies or on Disney+...

It’s a Comic-Con first: This year, fans worldwide will be able to partake in the pop culture extravaganza for free and from the comfort of their couches, as the annual event shifts to an at-home virtual edition as a result of the global coronavirus pandemic. Instead of having to flock to San Diego, TV aficionados will be able to watch a series of streaming panels via YouTube, taking place Wednesday, July 22 through Sunday, July 26.*

I would say they importance of SDCC is really going to take a hit post covid, everyone is going to be used to just doing their own events.

Across the globe, convention and office spaces are going to find themselves in trouble once they realise all those departments and companies aren't coming back; just in Dublin the Docklands and environs might suddenly find themselves without a plethora of tenants (those that can break contracts that is).

As to the topic? Big fat meh. At the risk of coming across all Hipster, I fell out of love with Comic-Con years ago, once taken over by the corporations and became a bit of a Disneyland for nerds. Kinda lost its lustre a little once studios took it over. :D

Can't argue with one line of this, but I do miss my weekend of maybe 100 announcements I actually care about :D

They realised they didn't have a film with a huge cast they could promote like Avengers or Eternals. Well maybe Eternals but already saw them all together last time
