That would be a civil matter.

I was telling BS by email today that my attacker was in court last week. I was not called as a witness. He was charged with punching a wall and throwing a mobile phone. Nothing else.
The paper report said, "No contact was made with any member of the public".

He was fined €100.

Drive a car with the tax a few weeks out of date and they'll throw the book at you.
