Paypal Express question

    Hi Folks.

    I've bought some equipment from a site using paypal express, I thought the transaction didnt go through correctly as it I didnt get an email or show in my paypal account

    I then purchase the same products using standard paypal and that seem to work fine as I got the email and shown in my paypal account

    Out of interest I then checked my BOI credit service account and there's 2 exact payments for the same equipment but at different times

    1x Transaction Date: 09/10/2019
    Time: 18:37:00

    2x Transaction Date: 09/10/2019
    Time: 19:04:00

    As you can see a bit of time between time. 1x would be the Paypal express and 2x would be Paypal standard.

    Why isnt Paypal express transaction showing in my paypal account?

    Either checkout method should work the same from a buyers perspective. If the first one never sent the alert email (within 20 mins) then its likely a held transaction. Paypal hands back to the sellers website to confirm the transaction, if their site does nothing it doesnt happen.


    I suspect youll find the first CC transaction is incomplete and will be cleared back to the bank within a day or so. Keep an eye on it.
