Serie A is quite incredibly crap below the first few teams. It’s a disgrace it has the same amount of CL places as the premier league. Presume it’s just to fend off super league temptations.
...but the Premier League is also incredibly crap below the first few teams.

City beat Watford 8-0 last weekend, sure isn't It the best league in the world.

Milan are shocking. Torino played well second half, Belotti was great and won it for them.

The great Premier League has 2 Champions league winners in the last 10 years. Serie A has 1. Not really a massive difference.
West Ham got thumped 4-0 by Oxford United and Man United only beat Rochdale on pens, the great top 10 this week.

    Hate this attitude.

    Based on what?

Didn't an Italian team recently beat an English side in the CL?

Sanchez given a second yellow for simulation. Looked a fair call by the ref.

Jankto has pulled one back for Samp. 2-1 now. Game on.

Ten-man Inter extend their lead through Gagliardini. 3-1.

Full-Time. Inter maintain their 100 per cent record.

Watching Sassuolo vs Atalanta and Atalanta have scored 4 first half goals. Zapata with a great header for the most recent one. Sassuolo's defending has been very poor.

Match ends 4-1 as Sassuolo grab a consolation. Nothing much to the second half. Game was done in the first half. Handy evening's work for Atalanta ahead of the match with Shakhtar on Tuesday.

Matchday 6 & Milan's player of the season so far is likely VAR. Ribery looks 26 again so far.

Milan have played awful so far, their midfield just doesn't create. Fiorentina when they've had the ball have been very good with it. Big fan of that Pulgar.

And things get worse for Milan

Down to 10 men and also 1 down

Times are very hard for Milan and I suspect it will be Giampaolo last game.

Pep couldnt even save this team, they just dont have the players (reminds me of Man utd)

Down 2-0 now. Loads of players there that need to be sold, biglia, kessie, calcanhoglou, Suso,Rodríguez, bennacer.

Unfortunately Milan don't have a De Bruyne to cover the fact the defence isn't organised. Giampaulo is worse than Gattuso ever was as a manager.

That was some goal by Leao, bright future ahead.

Pleased for Balotelli to get off the mark for Brescia. Looks like he's happy atm. His daughter was the mascot. Would like to see him have a good season and get back into the Italy squad.

Happy for Leao too. I thought he could have done with another season in France as he's still raw, but that was a gorgeous goal he scored.

Fiorentina are proving a lot of fun. Really like the additions of Ribery and Pulgar, and Chiesa looks ready for a big season. Milan in contrast look a shambles. Sad to see them reduced to this. Think Giampaolo is done. Here's what he said about Conte a few months back:
“Conte’s method is to put your head down and run. Mine is to keep your head up and play football.”

Conte's Inter are top with 18 points; Giampaolo's Milan are 16th with 6 points.

Exciting 3-2 win for Parma over Torino. The game featured a missed pen, a red card and a winner in the final minutes.

I was so optimism for this season; now just embarrassed.

Genoa lead Milan 1-0 after a Reina howler from Schone's free-kick.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,679 ✭✭✭✭wonski

    Terrible from Reina.

    Milan down to relegation zone.

    Close to 2-0 now.

How such club can get that low is a mystery to me.

Long way to go, but not looking good.

Also a couple of red cards for reserves and assistants.

    Terrible game for them

Leao and Paqueta on as second half subs for Piatek and Calhanoglu.

    Massive 45 for Giampaolo.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,643 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

1-1. Well there's a response. Theo Hernandez squeezes it in from a tight angle. Not great keeping again, this time from Radu. Game on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,643 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

And Milan might have a pen for handball. VAR involved. Leao with some nice skill. It's a pen for me.

Yep penalty - and a red card! Genoa down to ten.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,679 ✭✭✭✭wonski

    Red card as well.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,643 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

Kessie scores. From despair to delight for Giampaolo. Surely Milan can't lose this lead.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,643 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

Milan down to ten men now! Calabria off. Lifeline for Genoa with about ten minutes to go.

2nd red of the season its barely October

    Now Reina concedes a pen!

And Reina saves it! He's redeemed himself!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,643 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

It ends 2-1 to Milan. That was a lot more absorbing than I expected it to be. Reina saved his blushes with the pen stop and may have saved Giampaolo's job in the process. Four red cards as well, two of them towards the bench.

    Some game.

Is the Juve Inter game on tv? Don’t see it on Premier.
